What No One Tells You About Mexico City

🎧 Short on time? Listen on Spotify Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and the largest city in North America, with over 21 million people in its metropolitan area. Can you even imagine a million people? When you're in Mexico City as a tourist, you don’t just picture it—you feel it. Some places you visit are so packed, it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The sheer volume of humanity is overwhelming… and yet, strangely exhilarating. It’s chaotic, yes, but there’s a kind of joy in witnessing that much life all at once. I’d stop in my tracks, overwhelmed by the scene—then dive into filming, snapping photos, trying to hold onto the feeling. And yet, in the middle of all that, life carried on. People were deep in their routines, focused, committed, completely unaware that someone nearby was marveling at the beauty of their everyday. You feel that scale immediately when arriving by air—tiny houses stretch endlessly, packed tightly together like a living mosaic....

Ica, Peru

Ica Peru is a desert oasis. It is 305km from Lima. From the town of Ica, a short taxi  or rickshaw ride will take you to the Oasis. There many fun things to do here. The main attraction is the Dune buggies and Sand boarding.

There is a lot of  other activities too. In the lake you could ride Paddle boats. Walk around and visit the neat little stores. The store sell various hand made craft and souvenirs.

One of the popular things you could do here is to Sand Board.  You rent skates from the stores by the water. You can do it yourself  by watching others. It is so much fun.  If you take a Dune Buggy ride they will stop at couple of places and guide you how to master it. It is pretty awesome.

These rides are not short and the guide is very nice and will take pictures for you and teach you how to’s. They have a lot of patience.

It can be windy and watch for sand. They also go very fast. Downward hills are like roller coaster rides. But not scary. It is a small group or you could arrange to go alone. The price may vary.

Our group was six of us and that is a fun size.  You could buy face coverings before you take the ride.
