What No One Tells You About Mexico City

🎧 Short on time? Listen on Spotify Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and the largest city in North America, with over 21 million people in its metropolitan area. Can you even imagine a million people? When you're in Mexico City as a tourist, you don’t just picture it—you feel it. Some places you visit are so packed, it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The sheer volume of humanity is overwhelming… and yet, strangely exhilarating. It’s chaotic, yes, but there’s a kind of joy in witnessing that much life all at once. I’d stop in my tracks, overwhelmed by the scene—then dive into filming, snapping photos, trying to hold onto the feeling. And yet, in the middle of all that, life carried on. People were deep in their routines, focused, committed, completely unaware that someone nearby was marveling at the beauty of their everyday. You feel that scale immediately when arriving by air—tiny houses stretch endlessly, packed tightly together like a living mosaic....

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Yellowstone National park is the most visited National  Park in America. It is situated in Wyoming. There are more than four million visitors each year. During summer there is long line of traffic to get there. Sometimes traffic comes to a complete stop. The park has campsites and they are fully booked. If you plan to camp here you have to book six months before. Even then you may go in to a waiting list.
There are wildlife all around the park including the campgrounds. We mainly saw deer, rabbits  and racoons. Bears roam everywhere in the park. We saw them at distance a couple of times. The bathrooms are big and well maintained.
With your park admission you get a brochure of the park. It has the map to the park and all its inhabitants. If you pay attention you will see all of them in your trip. This is mainly Bison land, so you see them everywhere. Along the road you see stopped vehicles as they have encountered some wildlife. Summer is the mating season and male Bison can get aggressive and you may see them fighting on the middle of the road. We were lucky enough to see one. It is scary but amazing at the same time.

Acres and acres of Bison and other animals gracing together. This  much of animals is something you see in the Serengeti in Africa. It is an amazing scene. Just to be able to be this close to these animals is an incredible feeling.
A bear encounter this close is very rare. However you are suppose to keep a fifty feet distance if you do. This picture was taken from less than ten feet, before I learned the rule. This happens to be a baby.
There are many hiking trails in the park. There are warning signs that lets you know what to do face to face with a bear. Usually they don't during the day and it was not a problem for us in all the hikes we did. There are beautiful waterfalls, geysers, wildlife, birds, streams and beautiful sceneries along the way.
In the summer it get very hot and if you are hiking remember to take enough water. One of these hike we didn't and big mistake. We went through hell, one sip at a time when we were thirsty. There was running water but they were not suitable for drinking because of the geysers. Sun screen is a must too. The back of my neck was so sunburned, I had two bad days there after.

Some very short hikes and some long. We were able to drive  to the entrances to the hikes if we decided not to walk too far. Either way you do it, the joy was immense.
We visited the park during 4th of July and they take a lot of precaution to drunk driving although you are inside the park. Because of wildlife there are fireworks. The park will inform you of the surroundings places that do. We got to see one out of the park in a little town and it was one of the best I have seen.
This is is Old Faithful erupting.  The name comes from the geyser being faithfully erupting every thirty minutes. This happens every thirty minutes without fail. If you missed it, sure enough it happens again in thirty minutes. The park has geysers everywhere and they either erupt or bubble. The colors are beautiful. You will come across these in every hike you will take.
