What No One Tells You About Mexico City

🎧 Short on time? Listen on Spotify Mexico City is the capital of Mexico and the largest city in North America, with over 21 million people in its metropolitan area. Can you even imagine a million people? When you're in Mexico City as a tourist, you don’t just picture it—you feel it. Some places you visit are so packed, it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. The sheer volume of humanity is overwhelming… and yet, strangely exhilarating. It’s chaotic, yes, but there’s a kind of joy in witnessing that much life all at once. I’d stop in my tracks, overwhelmed by the scene—then dive into filming, snapping photos, trying to hold onto the feeling. And yet, in the middle of all that, life carried on. People were deep in their routines, focused, committed, completely unaware that someone nearby was marveling at the beauty of their everyday. You feel that scale immediately when arriving by air—tiny houses stretch endlessly, packed tightly together like a living mosaic....

Belgium

Belgium  is not a big tourist destination. However there are many interesting places to visit in Belgium. During a road trip in Europe we passed through Belgium, I visited some cities. Brussels is a very interesting place.

Just like anywhere in Europe, there are huge plazas and tall Cathedral type buildings. Belgium also has Castles.  The Grand Place in Brussels is so lively. It is a place to party. Plenty of restaurants  and bars. There is also a Starbucks there. Thank god for that. No where in Europe can you get a good cup of tea except at Starbucks.

The mall with glass roof is huge and there are so many stores that sell Belgium chocolates. Did you know that Belgium sells more chocolate than any where else in the world. It is something to see and it amazed me. Displays of chocolate and the passion to sell them is incredible.

Food in Belgium is seems to be very colorful and plentiful. You can buy French fries to go in little eating places. The wrapping is a cone. This is a thing in Belgium.

Fruits are displayed so beautifully and they taste better than in the states. Just like in France they have a million varieties of cheese. For me most of them taste the same.

People gather in these plazas and the buildings are illuminated with beautiful colors.  People are so well and decently dressed. It makes it so nice. The roads are narrow in the city. I didn’t notice too many cars in the city and in the plazas.

They have the city tram and people seems to be taking that to commute. You see the presence of police everywhere. It is pretty safe even at night. Just like anywhere in Europe parking is very cheap.

Toll roads seems only towards France and was not too pricey. Driving was very pleasant. In the cities roads are narrow and cars parked on either side of the road. It was scary as there was no room for error. If someone opened a car door I wonder what happens.

Belgium is famous Diamonds and Chocolate. They speak French and Dutch as the are border which France on the west and Netherlands on the east. I was in my  territory. The French joke about the Belge . It is a thing.
